 A piece of armor from when I was active in the Society for Creative Anachronism many, many years ago.

-Handheld, manual mode, flash used
-Cloned-out some of the folds in my backdrop
-Channel-Mixer in monochrome mode
-RGB Curve
-Crop
-Resize
-Cloned-out some small remaining shadows from backdrop
-RGB, Blue/Yellow Curve to tint BG slightly
-USM at 66%/0.6 dia/TH = 5 (applied twice)
-SaveAs JPEG at quality 9/10 = 286KB

Wow I like the crazy black and white tonality on this one. It makes the helm kind of abstract with all the scratches so visable. The lighting with all the hot spots is a bit much though and detracts a lot.

I think this needed a black background with museum lighting -- this is style of processing makes it look more like a cheese grater.
