You was robbed! Seriously, I enjoyed your image during voting and felt lucky to get it again in the Critique Queue just now. It certainly meets the Challenge, is well composed and seen and is technically well done.
Was the answer to your sort-of-middling score in  Luci11e's observation when she commented:
nice perspective - I really had to study this image to see what I was looking at
It is unfortunate that our viewer/voters sometimes just don't take the time to LOOK. Still, while your image didn't make the front page, it did engender some very positive feedback. You are not afraid to step out on a limb to get a good shot. It shows nicely in your work.
I look forward to seeing more of your images in the queue and hope this small critique was helpful to you.
