Hi, Critique Club here...
I really don't know why this didn't finish higher. It's a very nice, delicate image with nice soft tones. Those qualities might be what brought the score down too.
There are so many powerful bright areas and relatively high contrast areas with the background flowers and green background that it's a bit hard to focus on the plant in the foreground. That's the only thing I can think of that might give this a lift.
I think I would like to see the same flower on a pure white background. Not that you should have done that for this challenge, I just think the delicate nature of the flower would be nice.
I didn't vote, but if I had, I would have voted a 6. |

This is a masterpiece of subtle delicate understatement & really nice light, here is your Gilded Lily for this sugarplum fairy flower shot.
