 In the north the Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year and then the sun stays up all night long. I took this picture around midnight that night and it shows the magnificent red colour of the sky. I cropped the picture, changed the contrast and curves a little but not much because the colour was so nice. At least this is something that could appear in the newspapers where I come from!

Nice shot- would this translate to b and w? who knows. I would crop or clone out the crap in the bottom dead center, or shift around till its naturally out.

I think it would have helped to get more scenery in. Was there any way to photographically show that it was midnight?

is this for the weather section? beautiful colors, but I'm looking for that rocket in the sky. I guess for me, it would have been nice to see some more context of the earth meeting the sky.
