 I haven't been home barely at all this week since I had to work snow removal (24 hours OT over the weekend). I shot a few photos for hotness but I didn't really like how they came out so I did these this last day of submitting and am pretty happy with it. We will see how it turns out.

Crop, levels, color correct, hue/sat, topaz, cooling filter, border, resize, usm, sfw.

Ok I know this is my worst entry. I never should have entered it and it has so many issues. But I am thankful for the great comments. I probably shouldn't have attempted a new set up on no sleep and working so many days straight with snow removal. But this is a good test. As I improve I will be able to rush a shot and get decent results instead of this mess.

Well I don't think this finished where it should have. It should be a few places lower lol. This was a terrible entry but thank you all who commented. I still liked my idea but I executed it so poorly. I may have to revisit it and try to get something better.

I'm afraid this is likely to come in toward the back end of the challenge. The depth of field is fairly shallow, and what is in focus comes off quite soft without a lot of detail and clarity. The cropping also seems a bit tight. My suggestion would be to get in closer to get some of the finer detail of the ice and "blood" in the pic. Shooting with a higher F-stop and not as much of an angle to the bowl would help to have more in focus.

Here's some things that stand out about this picture. You got a bowl of ice water on a doily with some orange stuff in it. It doesn't make a very compelling subject. Throw in a bloody hand or some fingers at least! The white balance is off quite a bit as everything has a blueish tint to it. Otherwise creative with the title, but a little too macabre for my taste.
