This guy showed up in my yard a few weeks ago and seems very, very curious about us. Clearly watches us moving around inside and doesn't spook when I come near the window. He's the first Robin I've ever seen eating from one of our bird feeders (he likes suet, apparently). He spends a LOT of time in my backyard. Every time I decide to take bird pictures he appears front and center, so he must want to be my FS entry ;-)

PP - cropped, qtpfsgui (pregamma 0.697, mantiuk method, contrast mapping 0.1, saturation factor 1.029, detail factor 1), erased some of background and merged with original at 30% transparency to get more detail on the Robin, white balance, increased contrast, dodged eye a little (light was pretty good to start with), colored whitish strip in background green, colored out a little of the old on the deck rail, vignette around bird, resized, sharpened, added border.

I'm still shocked at how low this scored. I wasn't sure if it was yours or Wendy's and I love everything about it.

I'm shocked that the crystal clear bird shots did not do better. That is just terrific. I didn't know it was yours but gave it a 9. MAN

I love that glamourous backwards glance -- almost like a porfessional pose.

such detail, I just had a WHOLE flock of these birds go through my yard the other day headed back up North...they are delightful little fell'as and gals

I like this, though a minor nitpick, as it appears a to be a touch oversharpened on the bird's details.

Om My GOSH! Could he have posed any better? The textures are incredible. Love the blur branch bokeh. Outstanding.

Beautiful! Great composition, lovely depth of field, good detail and light. Would like to see a bit more detail in the face, but it's great that you've got that 'over the shoulder, looking at you' capture.
