Looks a bit over-sharpened due to the jaggies on the diagonal edges. Try using a different resampling method like bicubic to help reduce this. |

This is very nice. The colors of the flag are so bright and crisp against the muted tones of the building and sky. |

What flag is this? Where is this? It has a certain amount of relevence if you are referring to Ronald Reagan who just died (if you are than why not say his name?). But what is newsworthy about the fact that the flags are still at half-mast? If the headline stated, "Flags Fly at Half-Mast in Honor of..." it would suggest an immediate event, as if the story were informing the public for the first time. But since you've used the word 'still' there really isn't any story.
Photographically, it is not too successful. The visual elements appear jammed together due to overtight cropping combined with deep DOF (you have everything in sharp focus). It lacks a human element to evoke any kind of emotion from a viewer who has no ties to this flag (such as myself) or building. The bit of tree in the edge of the frame is just clutter. |

I really dont think the Texas flag is appropriate for this headline. |

fits the challenge nicely and a great angle, however I think it would be a bit better if it were an American flag. Many people don't know what flag that it (I didn't either untill I looked it up). 6 |
