Thanks for all the comments. One person mentioned that this would be good as part of a sequence of shots. Well, just so happens that there are more of this feisty Welsh 'Cob' here

This looks like a picture from the books I used to read as a child. Maybe not too DPC worthy but it definitely tells a story. |

Big horse taming the man in the collor and tie it looks. Nice story here. Looks like a ribbon this guy is holding for his horse there. Im sure the horse did not get it for obedience and good discipline |

This is an exceptional shot. You pressed the shutter at exactly the right moment and from the right spot. I love the expressions and the actions taking place. |

that is one big...big...horse..what breed is that? Is it a Belgium? This depicts such a step back in time...I love the bowler hats, long coats...this is what I think of when I think of horse stock sales in England...oh...what an experience...(my parents had Arabians when I was growing up - 60 head at one time)...enough of that...wonderful picture...it makes me fell like I'm right there, part of the event...excellent job |

What an excellent tableau! Great catch and perfect tming. There's a palpable tension, both in the young man's stand, the horse's massive bulk nearly airborn, but mostly in the man's face and hand pulling the other ut of the way. Top this all off with the red ribbon - obviously an award winning animal - and this is a wonderful bit of both photojournalism and slice of life. |

I love the feeling of power and urgency you captured. I'd like it more if the background (especially the head growing on the horses rear) was blurred. 7 |

Not sure if they are Derby Hats, or Bowler Hats but I love them. The action captured really makes this wonderfully composed shot. |

Ha, I like the scared look from the guy in the hat contrasted with the completely bored look from the guy standing in the background!
It's a well caught shot, I think it would be good as part of a series or if you were writing an article, but on it's own it's not particularly outstanding. |
