Intereings so far half way through. Half the people love the processing teh other half hate it.

I had this most amazing lion that I wanted to depict in a different way than most lions are done on DPC. it would seem I have achieved that. I was aiming for grittiness and raw feeling. I agree that it could be over processed, but I think for what I was trying to get, I got it correct for me, maybe not anyone else, but for me, i got what i wanted. And isn't that what photography is all about!

REALLY nice change from the usual lion images. I really love the PP on this - it makes it a very compelling image for me.

Put me in the half of the people who love the processing. :) This immediately brings to mind the story of Daniel in the Lion's Den. Great job, Juliet!

Beautiful. Love the pose. Looks like he is thinking hard about something. Great tones.

Interesting processing. Somewhat harsh, but he looks like he's lying on cement so that seems appropriate.

Wow. This really works in b&W and the processing is brilliant for this old Lion feel to it

Hmmm I think I've seen this lion win a ribbon not too long ago? Looks like the same scratch on the nose. Either way this is an excellent shot!

Nice composition and I love the mane. It really makes this shot. While I like the processing, I think it goes a step beyond photograph.

I think what I like about this shot most is that it is really heavily processed BUT...THAT...sets is apart from all of the other "Traditional DPC zoo style shots" :) I like it! :)

The processing you have done here has ended up making this look like a pencil drawing, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but to just look at it as an isolated shot and not in the context of this site, you would wonder whether it was actually a photo at all.

Nice image and light, but the resolution looks low to me. Probably a result of boosting contrast?

Looks like a big lion with a big mane. I like the pose and composition. Not overly fond of the processing, too harsh for my tastes.
