Hand held with a snoot full of scotch.

Noticed this couple sitting next to a window. We were in a very dark tavern. The light was doing great things to people and I tried to capture it.

The ISO was really high. Purposefully tried to keep this soft.

It works for me.

I'm stunned to see so many 1's, 2's & 3's & worse, not a single comment to justify such a hammering. I rather like your lighting. Perhaps you could have tryed for a bit more detail in the womans face but I don't know how you would have achieved that without going even higher than ISO 1600. I think you might have been a bit hard done by here.

That's a nice couple-portrait! She looks like she just told a dirty joke (or is just about to!). The low-key lighting shows the facial expressions nicely. 8
