okay, i like the lighting and the pose, although it would be more interesting to me if she were standing just a bit further away so that we can see her leg and the orientation was in landscape so that we see more of the surrounding woods and all of his legs. i'm not worried about there being a disconnect between these too (in fact my suggestions would increase that effect). the styling of the shot seems to call for it--with their make-up and clothing in this setting, it'd look like an engagement session (not that that would be wrong!) but it is more interesting like this.

I really like the pose. It does make it more interesting, and I don't think the lighting's flat at all. My only wish is that they didn't look so ticked off. I think if they were standing in that exact pose, but looked pleasantly into their own thoughts, they would look like they had a connectedness that transcends having to be looking at each other or talking. But they look reeeeeeeeeally mad at each other.

But my vote: very successful photography!

Can someone explain to me why there has to be a connection between them.
Personally I like it as is, I think it makes it more interesting than if they were looking at eachother.

alot has already been said about disconnect so i'll just say that i love the sharpness and color of her dress as it offsets the surroundings

ok, my husband is looking over my shoulder as I view this one. We both agree that she is good and we both like the red very much. There's something not right with his legs. My husband says that they both disappear in a black blob. I just don't like them cut off at the knee. Perhaps if the one leg was bent more to get more definition, or if they were bent back behind. Something just feels very awkward with him, the pose and the crop. She is great, though. I agree, though, there doesn't seem to be anything between the two. She actually looks like she could be a little upset, but he's just oblivious. Oh wait, I guess it is realistic! :P

I like his pose a lot, but her pose seems too stiff. As others have said, there's something missing here. Any outtakes from this session that you can share with us? Her left leg (although we do see her shoe a bit) really looks like it's missing and it distracts me. Looking a bit closer, it seems as if they are on some sort of platform. I think it might work better if they were in the leaves and dirt, not the man-made platform. What story do you have in your mind for them?

sharp as a tack on the models but there is something missing - the connectivity of the two seems completely missing as if the two were each in a different shot and you stuck them together post processing.

p.s. and neither of them look cheerful enough for Lutchenko's suggestion :- )

depends how it went ;)

I am sure some strobes will add allot, something that changes the flat lighting in here.
The post is good if the lighting changes ..

I like your setting and execution here. I guess my only observation is that it has a real catalogue feel to it, that's good by the way from a commercial standpoint.

The more I look at the pose the more I want to change it to suggest that they just popped into the woods for a quickie and when they came back the car had been stolen lol, the chap with head in hands and the girl with her hands in the air type thing. Must just be my weird sense of humor :)

oh yes... success
