This shot shows that it is the photographer, and not the equipment that makes a good photo. Not many 2 MP images score this well at DPC. Good job on an intriguing image. It pulls the viewers curiosity into the scene.
I use an A series Fuji too, and it's a fine little point and shoot camera.

The expressions are superb! This photo tells a story, which was important to me when rating this challenge. The composition is also very nice, but I wish it were a tad more in focus. Good job though

Nice shot, might benefit from a slightly different angle to balance the negetive space in the upper right and lower left. Good work.

Great picture lousy headline. Not in its meaning, but that saying would never be a headline in a newspaper.
I hate to score down for title however this challenge almost demands that we do.
I gave you a 7 whereas a good headline would have scored this an 8 or higher.
That said,this is an fantastic picture of human emotion and struggle.

Wierd headline, sounds more like an ad for something, but the image would be nice with a more condensed, topical headline. What specific story do these characters tell?

Nice job on the photo. Headline seems a little wordy but that's small potatoes. Very nice capture of people forced to live on the street. Poor kid. :(

There are some nice photos in this challenge, but the title they've chosen doesn't match the shot -- thus, it falls in points from my voting. This is certainly an exception to that -- this photo and title match 100%. Nicely done. I could believe I'd see this very picture and title whilst viewing the local newspaper. Best in the show so far (but please note, I've seen some real stinkers so far).
