This is an absolutely stunning shot, Jo! The clarity, the contrast and highlights, the cropping, masking...everything is beautiful!
ETA: I must find out (privately) how you got the petals over the border like that LOL! :)

The clarity of this, with the DOF and creative use of the border really make this image pop out of the screen. Well done. |

I like the focus I just wish the very bottom hadn't been cut off. |

I like how the petals peek over the frame. Wonderful details and a nice rich background add to the beauty of the flower. |

Jumping off the page at the viewer. I like the contrast of the background color. Good one. |

I like the extra touch of the flower outside the border at the bottom. I don't know how you did that but I love it!.....7 |

I bet you are the oranges guy, right! The color matched border is a nice trick, and it seems to make the loss of the two petal tips OK. 8 |

Nice detail on the flower, not fond of the way it comes out over the frame, also seems a bit too contasty. |

an instance where creative use of framing helps IMO. Flower its self is a bit over sharp. |

Nicely presented and composition with lighting, edges of petals seems a little jaged at bottom but that does not take away from a lovely pic of a very simple subject. 7 |
