Greetings from the Critique Club!
First off, very pleasant shot. The b/w treatment is interesting but works well.
Excellent choice of really fast shutter speed as opposed to bumping up the ISO. All too often the ISO will be jacked up and the shutter speed slowed down, resulting in a shot both grainy and blurry.
Composition very well done, you caught that moment of your daughter blowing the bubble and the bubble slowly filling with air, beautifully. Glad that you didn't show much of her face; leaves a sense of mystery as to what she looks like...I feel some people rely too much on kids' intrinsic cuteness. Great leading lines with the bubble-mixture wand, brings everything to the fore.
Overall a very respectable finish, and I sense lots of promise here. Keep shooting!
Feel free to PM me with any questions,
Susan |

Very simple, but the lighting really makes this picture. |
