This pioneer farmstead, tucked in the Reems Creek Valley, features the birthplace of Zebulon Baird Vance. The five-room log house--reconstructed around original chimneys--and its outbuildings are furnished to evoke the period from 1795- 1840.

This is gorgeous - so much so that the farmstead might be interested in producing postcards or brochures with this because it does indeed make me want to go visit the place.

I know that the house is on a hill but it seems that the house is sliding down the hill...wonderful capture...this is one of those times that the super bright sun adds to the photo..well done

It's a very nice scene. The bright sky in the upper left takes away from the image.

Pretty scene in a snow wonderland not affected. makes snow look so beautifull and untouched. The whites seem not as white as one woul know snow to be. Mayeb a cold feeling was the intention but for this a whiter secne would have worked better I think 7

This looks like the Vance birthplace just outside of Asheville. I did a bluegrass shoot there one time. There wasn't snow then, but it is a NICE place.
