He is my cousin. Just married with Prachi on 3-12-09. Flash bounced from wall on left side.

Thanks for explaining your setup in more detail, Nilesh. I'm sure your cousin and his new bride love the photo as well!

Thanks! On his left side that's natural light which is balanced with his right side flash light. The flash was angled such that some part of light bounced on his left side. Similar setting I have used in the shot Prachi. After some time this didn't worked for me because of natural low light in my shot Vidya. There I used second flash to add fill light on her left.

Beautiful eye contact - it makes the viewer feel the connection.

Great lighting, details/sharpness. Somewhat unorthodox composition/crop works well. I would sharpen the eyes (but not the eyebrows) just a bit.

You really seem to connect to your subjects. Usually a cropped chin is a no-no, but with the way he is tilted and with the top crop, it really works. Very nice.

Very nice portrait Nilesh.

Good colours, lighting, crop and focus. The only tweak you might want to consider is doing a little more to really make the eyes 'pop' ?
