 Didn't have to do much editing. We were shooting and I was searching for a spot to find the sun without shadows....just so happen to accidentally move a tree limb and the sun that hit her face was gorgeous. This shot was actually done to get a good look at the Make Up and Hair for the Make-up Artist.

Chose to enter it as "Silent Eyes" because the light and eye-shadow bring you straight to her closed eyes...

Change white balance in Camera Raw to Custom (I think 4400 Temp and 0 Tint)
Slight adjustment of blacks, Brightness, contrast, and Darkness in Camera Raw

In Photoshop:
Got rid of some pimples, moles, lines, etc.
Levels layer
Hue/Sat Layer for lips and Eye Shadow (Subtract Hue...dont know how that worked the way it did, but it did)
Lightened her hair some
Duplicate layer
Channel Mixer layer (monochrome) and merge with the duplicate layer
Change blending mode of duplicate layer to Soft light
Smart sharpen
Duplicate layer with layer mask to show only her skin
Surface blur and adjust layer opacity
Flatten
Crop of empty black space on right (although I liked the effect of the black space I know DPC hates it)
Resize and save

I think that dark stripe that goes from her forehead down the middle of her face to her shoulder hurts this image. But I like the composition and contrast very much.

She has a strange line down the middle of her face (shadow) which is very off-putting, shame because otherwise it's a beautiful shot.

Very nice, but is there a shadow right down the middle of her face? Maybe that's what you wanted? Good lighting, nice shine to her hair without washing out her skin!

is that line down her face and onto her shoulder a shadow? it's a wee bit distracting. love the position of her body and her right arm, though!
