 He is Mr Dhanraj, a 84 year old man who still practices all type of body massage for his daily living. I found him while having my morning walk & trying to capture the beauty of place near to my hotel in Pachmarhi.

He showed me a way to small lake & some other places. He has lost his wife in 1993 & he strongly believes that her soul lies in a bird. He added when he daily visits the temple he founds the bird at same location & talks to him. I asked him to pose for me he was happy enough to have some tears in his eyes. I am going to send a print of this very soon.

Wow, great image. The composition and expression are great. I do agree with the comments regarding the eyes, just a slight sharper would help. Still an amazing image with an moving story.

First impression:
What a great moment to capture. The tears in his eyes really bring this shot to life.
You weild that kit lens like it's 'L' glass. No wonder you own most of the images on that lens profile page.

Suggested improvement:
Can't think of anything.

I do agree with Stephen, it does appear like the focus has been missed on the eyes - the part of the scarf closest to us and the nose is in focus - what aperture did you use? Also, and I hope I'm not going to offend, I think the post processing is a little heavy - the haloing behind the (his) left side of his head and the somewhat tone-mapped appearance detracts from what is most probably an awesome shot. I'd love to get my hands on a RAW of this and have a play.

I should clarify that I think it is a really good image - I'm just not sure we're seeing the best of it here.

Great composition, posing, colors. Wonderful details on his headgear and beard, but the eyes seem a bit soft -- might want to try a bit of selective sharpening.

I really like these types of portraits, makes me want to travel so I can go meet these interesting people and take their portraits. I really like your depth of field, i think you may have missed focusing on the eyes as they don't look as sharp as the rest of the face. Of course he may have cataracts. It is good to see that you lit this side on, maybe the use of a reflector would have helped as well.
You should also try a mono conversion of this as his beard will look spectacular in it.
