 I went back and took shots of the junkshop umbrella guys again, but decided I couldn't use them for the challenge coz they'd be recognized. So I played around with them.

I can't remember absolutely every step I took. Here is the original
and here is an intermediate stage
From here it was flip, blend in difference mode, flatten, duplicate and a sepia style effect from PSElements Wow. Blend mode soft light 50% (I think)

Wow, the first flip worked very well indeed for this. The double-double faces are looking very portentious. Love the color. And the umbrellas lines add an a lmost mathematical dimension. And the border, too is perfect. Well done!
