I had this pegged as NUMERO UNO! The tones and composition are really good. The desat of the tat and his muscles makes this a very strong image.
Cheers....Martin |

This is a really beautiful shot and a great choice for desaturation. The only thing that I find distracting is the ear, which seems to have been partially erased. If his ear actually does look like that and his earring is attached to his upper jaw, then please pass on my apologies. ;-) But this is a great shot - one of my favorites in this challenge. |

Stunning image, it almost looks like it was taken with a film camera with those skin textures coming through like that, good work! Funny, but for some reason the earring doesn't look like it is connected to the ear but to the skin below it :) |

Excellent lighting and expression. The colors somehow don't match to be a real tattoo and almost seem electric or glowing. Nice crop too, but I would've left a tad more space on the left side. Seems a bit close to his left hand. |

Wow, what an awesome photograph. So emotional. I love the darkness, the graininess, and your saturation work. It is one of those I would like a lot better without any color but then that wouldn't meet the challenge. 10 from me. |

I love so much about this image...I have come back to it so many times during the challenge, it is truly amazing. The imperfect skin and blemishes add to the mood and the lighting is extroadinary. Definitely a ribbon in this (10)...Wonderful job..adding to favorites...I am so impressed! |

Very fine portrait indeed, depite the contrived-looking pose. great definition, good use of de-sat, and wonderful tonality. Just pushed a touch too far in the self-consciousness stakes for me to put it in my faves, but it's close. |

Cool shot. I like the use of lighting and shadows here. Composition and selective desaturation really emphasize the title. I'm gonna step out on a limb here and pick this as one of the top placers in the challenge.... 8 |

Is that a real tatoo? If so are those the real colors? I've never seen anyone with a neon green tatoo before! Nice shot. Love the graininess of the B/W! Great contrasts and lighting.

Great tones and textures. The composition is very good as well as the pose of your subject. Very tough, yet sweet. Well done. |

I like this, and like looking at it. The tones are dark, moody and fits the overall theme and feeling. |

Excellent...one of my top picks for this challenge. My only nitpick is too much noise and the glare on the head. 9 |
