| Followed your Life in the City Entry (congrats on the ribbon!) and found your photo that has stuck in my mind but could not remember who the photographer was. To me this captures a mood and feel of a quiet morning; a early stroll when the sights and sounds of the city is asleep so that one can take a stroll in quiet contemplation with only a lone dog as a companion. Love the B&W tones - and I am a sucker for a good umbrella shot (I love umbrellas - owning about 10 - used to be 11 but I lost that one somewhere ) |

Excellent atmospheric photo! The umbrellas are cool and beautiful. The fog keeps the backgroud clean and adds mood. The man and the dog are very nice for composition. The photo would be not so good without them. If the umbrellas are black, I would consider it a set in Theo Angelopoulos's movie.
I think this photo has the potential to be a classic, so I give it 10(and definitly my blue ribbon). This is my first time to give 10! |

You are lucky to have this sculpture for this challenge
but that said your photograph is masterfully done
the man, dog and fog with the near monotone look all add to the overall effect
my only wish is for a foot of clearance above the top of the poles
my top score by a good margin |
