A great take on the challenge. I love the contrast of the lighter and more delicate elements against the darker background. One thing that detracts slightly for me is the lightness of the front metal triangular plate which draws my eye away from the main subject. But I can see that placing the model at other points on this walkway might not have worked very well either!! |

She looks more annoyed to be there rather than sad. Maybe it's because her pose is light and airy, and so is her outfit and the white umbrella, but the face is not. It would be better if the whole shot set the mood, not just the out-of-place runny makeup. Also, I'd like to see more DOF to separate her from the background. |

Nice shot. It seems like there is some natural vignetting drawing the eye in. |

Nice idea, I would have loved to see just a dab of fill-in flash. Even with a darker mood shot like this, I think a little more light to lift the whites of the eyes would add contrast and impact to the eye area. |
