 This is my two year-old daughter meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Family Tree Nursery in Overland Park, KS. Mr. and Mrs. Claus look so authentic. I didn't realized we'd get a very classic crying with Santa photo, but that's what we got.

This is a classic, and I just wish there was more depth of character within the images. A stronger personality coming out. The contrasts are mild but could be better.

OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for the Mu (most underrated) award:

Positives: This funny and really well executed too. I like the way Santa and Mrs seem t be completely unfazed! Could that child be crying any harder??

Critical stuff: I can see why you did it but a monochrome santa does seem to lack something.

Overall: A great candid shot - well made.
