slightly tigther crop, more rigor mortis on the hand, a little less leading to hand in the heart and drops and i think things would be looking more solid. i sure as hell dont like the 18 1s you got even if it was 4 years ago. i think it had less to do with the photo more to do with the sadness.

Well, I tried keeping shallow dof for 2 reasons
1) it might have made it more "Aaahhh Gross" types
2) my recipe of blood was not good ( as pointed in earlier comment as well ). I did not wish viewers to get distracted by it.

anyways i got quite a few constructive feedback on this as well. I would take those for future use.

The depiction of suicide strikes a nerve for some that have dealt with it in one way or another.

Don't!
Frame it instead!
That's what I'd do if it was mine.

if you were shooting for disturbance you succeeded; i would have framed the shot differently; foreground white paper is superfluous

Well, this goes to show that difusers aren't only for portraits and nature.
10*.

Dark..and disturbing, especially at Christmastime, although this aptly demonstrates an intensity of Love which some do not wish to contemplate.

Original in a challenge lacking same. Vignetting (lensbaby?) adds a bit of vaudeville as does the direct lighting. I'm marking this high for 2 reasons. It's a good original image and I'm sick of pet and "wedding ring shadows on a bible" winning ribbons.

Nice concept but you need a better blood recipe. =P
