This couple completely fascinated me!
The older gentleman was legally-blind, about 86 years of age, and had been married to his first wife for approximately 60 years, until she died.
The lady was married to her first husband about 44 years until he died.
They have been married to each other for six years the man said. (I just met them at the Christmas party hosted by a mutual friend, and I just couldn't stop talking to the man especially because at 86 years of age, he was still so full of life that I left the conversation exceedingly encouraged.)
Regrettably, I don't expect this image to rate very highly since the lighting is so flat (due to necessary flash in low-light setting,) and I can't correct that fact do to the limitations of the Basic Edit challenge, but the story behind the image is so phenomenal that I couldn't NOT share it with you.
I do hope that the Back-Story heightens your appreciation of this truly amazing (at least for me) image. :) Enjoy! :) |

| Nice story. The 1 was from me, not so much for the photo, the background sucks, but for what I could see in their faces. |

| A great capture of a couple who have weathered the years together. Obvious love is portrayed here. I would suggest you kick this up a notch by moving the subjects to a more condusive setting for portraits rather than leaving them on the couch. Try near a window or something. The busy background kind of detracts |
