On a bright winter's day, I tried to capture the striking network patterns of tree branches against the sky. They were beautifully complex. Then I came across this long dead tree, which had been reduced to its main branches ... dead, but equally striking.

I wish you had taken two steps to the right. On the branch on the bottom left, there is the start of a beautiful rim light. Moving to the side would have put that rim light on the whole tree. Then you could have bumped up the contrast to put the rest of the tree into true silhouette.

Kindof on the too simple side. Usually such a silhouette has strong visual impact, but I'm not quite sure what this needs. Maybe it's too zoomed in and centered.

Looks to be pretty sturdy still. Maybe it's the strength of the silhouette.
