 I was actually shooting for the urban decay challenge when I saw this sleeping security guard, and I just took a quick snapshot before he awakens.

PP: pseudo-HDR from 1 raw file via Photomatix, the color adjustments/black and white conversion via Lightroom, borders via Photoshop.

Basically the pp posted beforehand was from the first photo I was inclined to enter, but since this was a last minute change, I was caught by the roll-over and was not able to change the last pp procedure.

PP: cropping, re-alignment, exposure/contrast adjustment via Lightroom & border via CS3.

The original entry, before I changed it the very last minute...

No, this was in Intramuros Manila. So how do you find the Philippines?

I really enjoyed this image, would love to have seen a shallower DOF, but the mood is still very well captured. Gave it a 7. Congrats on the ribbon!

good title :) though the subject is intelligently chosen, but the composition doesn't appeal much to me. A different angle or some other adjustment might have made it better.

Great horizontal and vertical elements in the shot and perfect positioning of the guard in the frame. Love the slumped posture and the overall shot works great in monochrome.

One of the few stand out shots.
