| The lighting and effective use of DOF immediately draws the viewers eye to the subject. Good clarity and a well composed image. (Not voting) |

| Almost perfect shot. I love the primary browns. Good lighting on the central subject. I would have cropped out the bottom right green. I also went with a smaller subject and a nicer overall composition. Not everything macro has to be in your face. |

| This is a great shot! Maybe if the shadow area were just a little less "dark" to bring out more of this nice photo. |

| well, I hate to give you your first DNMC...(I don't count off points on this) but snails/slugs are not insects...they are in the animal group called mollusks. But I will say you have a beautiful picture...love the detail in the shell |
