I thought this was one of the best. I loved the varying greens and the glow on the translucent part of the insect.
Seeing an uninteresting shoehorn photo score above this, and several others nice shots, reminds me of why I don't take this site as seriously anymore. |

almost alien like yet it's still a pretty image! I would have liked this in the top 3 |

Lovely tones in this shot. Would have liked to see a slightly deeper DOF used to give a bit more clarity to hairs and head. (Not voting) |

I really like the DOF in this. It's like he's emerging from the depths of some alien place. |

I find that I cannot stop looking at this pic. There is something very unearthly about it. The translucent nature of the head and body just behind is breathtaking. The colour and DOF is spot on. |

My favorite for the blue ribbon. Love composition and lighting. Just wish a little extra dof to get the head in sharp focus. Congratulations on this stunning image. |

Looks ... gelatinous. Interesting light and composition; would like the head in sharper focus. |

Nice photo but heavy title. Focus could have been more on the head than "neck" area. Still garnered a 6. |
