 Shot in color but converted to B&W as felt it captured the emotion and sence of the impending Western New York winter season. Post production included general adjustments and a graduated tint of a burnt orange hue for the sky.

Yes it is. I really like the frost/snow on the ground and it's fundamental B&W nature which contrasts with the late afternoon sky. Together, they really capture the feeling of late Fall. The leading lines of the road pull me right into the scene. Well done.

Though I havent seen the movie yet, I have read the book "The Road" by Cornac McCarthy. This photo is how I would have pictured the road in that story. Looks like a nuclear winter, after ash has fallen onto the ground, and the sky is still on fire. Awesome photo.

It's pretty weird to see the snow and sunset together like this... it's almost like half black and white, and half color. Weird, but cool. Nice work!
