My dad in his cowboy gear. I wanted something dramatic and hopefully creative. Didn't connect with the majority but I had fun with this one.

AB400 top right, behind dad to light the "rain/snow" and the double barrel SG
580 with Honl 1/8" grid behind left to highlight his revolver side.
430 front right for a little fill

I wanted blurred rain streaks like levT's splendid Shawshank image but the shop light I had wasn't bright enough to light up the rain. My wife held the hose. Thanks!

Truthfully, I thought it would score more highly. Often, I underestimate where an image will place. I overestimated this one!

Love the lighting in this shot, well done and it definitely scored lower than it should have.

Mark,

Mmmmmm...yummy drama with a dark and mysterious hero...or is does he play the "heavy" anti-hero? Ohhhh...the suspense! I can't wait for the movie. My only nattering naybob nitpicking is on a couple of notes...this photo will suffer from those with uncalibrated monitors and your score will suffer along with it. Also, with such a character...I'd like to see exactly that...MORE character. I want to see some kind of deep raw emotion from The Old West (picture Clint Eastwood's challenge "make my day" type of emotion). I see you used the rain as a "prop" of sorts to add weather drama...love that idea! However, to create more drama, I'd like to see the character interact more with the weather and how it's affecting his MOOD! Overall, your black and white photography carries strong weight and the obvious well-honed skills of a first class photographer.

The next time I see Clint...I'll give him your number for a portrait! ;-)

Very dramatic capture, especially of the mist, and the glint on his "tools". I feel that the body position could have been better, more dynamic. Instead, it looks like he's between moments.

Great theme, smart use of BW, nothing blown out. Stephen King Gunslinger maybe? Great shot man!!

I'm liking this photo a lot. It has highlights where they need to be and the simple tones and lighting are excellent.
