Convert from RAW, crop, topaz, convert to b&w.

This is pretty much the best I know how to do, so it may be that I will never make it to the front page of DPC.

Immediately drawn in by the almost crunchy texture: makes the scene palpable and rich.

Wonderful b&w conversion of this beautiful and unusual image. I love the soft contrasts you achieved and the subtle tones. Lovely interplay of light and shadow between the trees too. Has an Ansel Adams kind of look to it.9

This is very nice in many ways. Lovely conversion. To my eye you've gone a bit too far with the shadow/highlight. tone mapping, or whatever, to where the shadows on the ground are unnaturally bright, and this keeps me from giving a very high score, but still I love the overall mood. 7 from me.

An interesting study. I would beef up the contrast a tad, my 2 cents

Interesting choice to do this in b & w although it really shows the light and shadow contrasts beautifully.

not sure what happened to the tree in about the right center...but you lost all definition of leaves on that tree

I like the black and white conversion.
