My first impression of this image was that it was an interesting architectural image. Especially because the pov is slightly tilted upward to take advantage of the beautiful chandelier and unique, ribbed ceiling, and because the pp'ing highlighted the upper half of the image while minimizing the lower portion where the people are. The lower portion is quite dark, and the people do not appear to be in any sort of worshipful stance. Without the title, it does not represent any sort of religion at all to me. |

I love this. If I had voted on it it would have been a 9 or 10. Your low scores are prolly due to dark monitors; if mine wasn't turned up so bright I'm not sure I'd be able to make out the praying men. |

FWIW, on my monitor, this is pretty dark. So it is hard to make out what the people are doing or even wearing. I wan't really voting based on denomination. I was voting based on whether the photo intrigued me. I gave it a 5, mostly because you cannot see what the people are doing here and the photo doesn't seem to engage the viewer. It's too bad that you think people voted on stereotypes. Maybe some people gave 1's because they just don't like religion - period. |

Unfair pressures? It looks like a room full of conference goers rather than anything religion based. The photo is nice with great tones, but it relied solely on the title to shoehorn itself into the challenge. Cool shot, but just not on for this particular shot. |

Thanks a whole lot.
I knew when I entered with such a subject and photo that it will come under unfair pressures; I was certain, however, that there will be people who will be able to part themselves from stereotype visions and opinions.

I think you needed a slightly longer exposure so you see the people a little bit better |
