This is the highest scoring photo I have submitted so far. I noticed that the comments are more plentiful and more constructive when you give people something to work with. Thanks for the input.

BTW… This is a dairy farm. These cows are for milking.

I elected to use a rating table to decide on what value to assign during voting.
Here̢۪s the table:
1 No Animal/People Interaction
2 Slightly Appealing, but no Animal/People Interaction
3 Moderately Appealing, but on Animal/People Interaction
4 Greatly Appealing, but no Animal/People interaction
5 Not Appealing, but possessing Animal/People Interaction
6 Slightly Appealing and possessing Animal/People Interaction
7 Moderately Appealing and possessing Animal/People Interaction
8 Greatly Appealing and possessing Animal People Interaction
9 Better than #8, and caused an audible sigh
10 Better than #9, and would likely declare it a favorite

the softness adds to the content... nicely done!

It would have been nice if you could have stepped to the left a little and re-shot. The front calf is distracting, but the rest of the shot, especially the cows in the background, is wonderful.

Oh, my. They look hopeful in the back there, and the handfeeding undoubtedly builds trust ... and then I can't help but wonder if these guys are trusting someone who will send them off to slaughter soon :-( I find it disturbing.

Great photograph, the only distraction is the post in front of the farmer. If that had not been there then this would have been an EXCELLENT photo, but it is still very good!

Subject out of focus. Attention is drawn to calves in the background.

i really really like this, especially your choice of focus!

loved this idea. all in all a very expressive photo but the focal point seemed to be on the second set of eyes in the back vice on the interaction; which, after all, is the point. it threw both the man and the object calf out of focus.

Excellent, not just for this challenge but as a stand alone photograph. Love the focus on the ones waiting their turns down the line, and the warm color works very well here. Probably my favorite of the challenge.

Great shot of what really happens in a dairy barn - curiosity of the calves is wonderful - personally would have liked the young man and his calf to be more in focus as they are the main story to me.

This would have been stronger for me if there were more in focus (only last two appear focused), the interaction is good and it's a different subject than the other images.

Not too sure about the placement on the focus, but I really like the tones.
