I chickened out on entering something that totally met the challenge in a moody BW and instead prepped this DPC-friendly sunset silhouette conversation of the same pair.

-2/3 EV.

Contrast, warming, unsharp mask. Then smashed the crap out the saturation without destroying the histogram.

LOL!!! LOVE the explanation. And despite the DPC-friendliness of it (handily confirmed by the 7th place and excellent score), it is still a very fun shot. I shall go look to see if you posted the moody B&W somewhere... (And thank you kindly for your nice words on mine - very much appreciated.)

I elected to use a rating table to decide on what value to assign during voting.
Here̢۪s the table:
1 No Animal/People Interaction
2 Slightly Appealing, but no Animal/People Interaction
3 Moderately Appealing, but on Animal/People Interaction
4 Greatly Appealing, but no Animal/People interaction
5 Not Appealing, but possessing Animal/People Interaction
6 Slightly Appealing and possessing Animal/People Interaction
7 Moderately Appealing and possessing Animal/People Interaction
8 Greatly Appealing and possessing Animal People Interaction
9 Better than #8, and caused an audible sigh
10 Better than #9, and would likely declare it a favorite

Great timing for the light. Love that you caught an angle that has the fine lighting around the edges or your models. Bumping up to 8.

One of my top six. I really like this silhouette and the color adds so much. Nice one!

Telling capture of the moment and nice lighting. Looks a tad oversaturated on my screen.

Nice capture, not sure about the centered horizon but there's nice balance between the man and dog. Looks like the man it talking on a cell phone which detracts from the image for me. Maybe the action shot of the man in the act of throwing would have added something. Still I like it.
