 The Image: I was driving home from dinner with my family and saw some really nice light over the city. I didn't have my D300! D'Oh!

Oh but look, my daughter's Canon IXUS IS 80 is in my car...battery looks almost flat. I know I only have one or two shots at best. So, I rested it on the bridge and squezzed out a couple of images, this being one of them, before the camera would not turn on any more.

I loke it...would I have preferred the D300? You bet! But it just goes to show what a little point and shoot can do.

The Edit: Grayscale, Duotone, some sharpening and dodge and burn...that's it.

The Prediction: 6?

POST: Well, there you go! A little IXUS did this!

Well! And I can't get anything like this out of my 'good' camera. Just goes to show ya it ain't the equipment...

I used to use my Point and Shoot for Urban night shots all the time, even after buying my SLR. I just love the way the capture light. This is really nice, what it lacks is probably a bit of sharpness, and maybe you'd get some better tonal range with the expensive tech. Good going.

Very powerful B/W cityscape. I like borders, but border is little distracting here IMHO.
