The framing is good, nice and unique. Not a lot of portraits are successful when it's a tight shot filling more than 80% of the frame, but this one is, probably because of the way it's framed, and the look on your face ("I don't take myself too seriously"). The light is great, almost "Rembrandt" lighting, nice and soft. I usually prefer well-defined catchlights in the eyes -- I can see your softbox or whatever it is, and I'd prefer to see just very bright, well-defined catchlights. There's a bit of detail degradation as a result of smoothing or something, on your neck and the right cheek, and that's a bit of an issue. Other than that, a great portrait. Nicely done. 8 |
