An interesting capture, but a word on the title: I often come across titles like this, and they are an anomaly. Waiting for what? If you are interested in appropriately titling your work, try comparing titles of successful pros. You'll come across titles like "Flowers", "June bugs", "Pretty dress", "On the porch", and so on. Very simple, straightforward monikers that let the photograph do the talking, not the title. A title like yours in my view tries to make the viewer think a certain way about a picture, and I'm not sure that's a primary goal for us. It might have been better titled something like "Church Pew", or "Afternoon Light". Allow your title to describe what your photo is, not what we should be thinking while viewing it. Just a thought, and I've used oblique titles myself very often, but the importance of the title has concerned me for a while now. 5 |
