Last minute entry. I was not going to enter this challenge, but on the way home, I decided that nothing screams "Fort Worth" more than our local tourist trap, the stockyards. I took a detour and did a walk around. My original idea was a shot of Stockyards Station. Those were decent, but not anything that stood out to me. A couple of these shots of longhorn steers really did stand out to me, though, and considering that the longhorn steer is the logo for Fort Worth, I don't think anything represents my corner of the world better.
Did a bit of swapping around in the last few minutes before rollover. My other photo had more interest, but was more flawed and the composition would probably not have the broad appeal to do well.
Post-challenge notes:
Argh! Spent all week hopping back and forth across the 6 mark, and then lost some good votes at rollover. Oh, well, it still did darn good and pulled my average up a bit. |

| I thought it was an interesting shot seeing the horns go from one side to the other. My first thought was Texas, I like it. Gave you a 7. |
