Location: Austin, Texas
Date: Oct 18, 2009
Aperture: F/5.6

Galleries: Portraiture, Diptych / Triptych
Date Uploaded: Oct 20, 2009

Model/Actor: Al Bianchi

I took three of the photos out of a cowboy series I did this week and editing each individually then added them to a separate blank image in photoshop and flattened. The first image I desaturated and adjusted levels. The second image I slightly desaturated. The third image I adjusted the color and levels. God, I hope this is right because I was VERY confused about doing a triptych in basic editing.

post challenge: why oh why oh why do I try?

Thanks Ken- it's nice to be appreciated by someone of talent. : )

He was also in my DPC Cinema II shot.. maybe that's it?

I got it. I liked it a lot. I gave it a 7. That's reason enough. :)
Can't believe this got so many sub-5's. The model looks familiar - would I have seen him in anything?

I like how the colors change with each expression. Nice job.

Very well done. Love the monochrome to color - blank to smile transition. The "humanization" of the grim cowboy. Great job of keeping background almost uniform, and definitely in a non-distracting role.

Good portraits but I wonder if separating each of the images, or making each one more unique (different point of view) would have helped.

I found the subject to be lacking in "Wow" Factor, but the color process from B&W to Color is a fantastic idea and well executed. 8
