The Image: I just wanted to enter to get back in the swing of things after a little while where I couldn't enter due to work commitments. I wanted to enter something like: Death Python's Chronicles, but couldn't see a python at the zoo that would work for me. I was paying good money for the shot as well, but you know how pythons can get ;)
In the end I got this Emerald Boa, took the shot, only to come home with a couple hours to edit and find they are not poisonous. In the end, I know many will point out that they are NOT poisonous, which is a bummer, and I am sure I will get marked down.
I took it through the glass using the available light. My VRII 18-200 came in handy as I was handholding.
I was looking for name's of suburbs that start with D and then looked at cities that start with D. Dalaman Turkey got the nod as it sounds exotic.
THE EDIT: Lots of layers and masks for colour, blur, sharpen, tone, noise reduction, but nothing drastic.
THE PREDICTION: As an image I like it and could see it working as a poster with text, in fact I will do an outtake with text to compare it.
Maybe a few people will take off marks for the lack of poison...I reckon 6.0044. I hope people rate it for the photographey aspect and not the accuracy of the appropriate snake... |

Awesome image - this could easily be a movie poster - room for text etc. |

I like this, Enzo, and I'm sure somewhere in the back of my mind I knew the snake wasn't poisonous, but the title doesn't necessarily mean the snake itself is..... 'Grats on a nice finish. |

Nearly a good title - but the last word seems a bit pushed. Might have been worth getting some kind of goblet in there and going for 'Dalaman's Poison Chalice'.
Very nicely lit image though - compositionally I think I would have had the snake slightly lower in the frame, but hey, what do I know.
Overall, pretty good though. |

Nice going. Really looks like a poster and the verbiage is appropos for a movie title. This is one of my favs. |
