S0, you might ask, why such a non-feminine name for a girl frog? Simple....she came within a hair of dying. I had added a plant to their habitat, not realizing the soil had fertilizer in it. The frogs became very ill, and the one day I even found the girl laying belly up in shallow water. I feared she had died. She showed no signs of life, but I decided to do mini compressions on her chest and sides to see if I could get her back. You guessed it...she rebounded! After a few tense moments, her legs starting twitching in response to my efforts, and a few more had her back alive. It took me two more weeks to get her eating well again, and another few to get her skin to look good as she had developed grey splotches on her back. Thank goodness my old vet in Michigan was willing to ship me the necessary medications overnight, or she would have never made it.

Frogs are such amazing animals, with wild colors and patterns. This is a great story. I have to admit I would be at a loss if having to ressusitate a frog... it,s a good thing you knew what to do.

That's a brilliant story for a brilliant looking frog. I'm so glad that Rebound rebounded. My grandsons had a tank with tadpoles in it and they decided to add the spathe of some big lily - it turned the water toxic and the tadpoles died. They might have been cane toad tadpoles anyway, in which case that would be the best outcome.
