 I got off school early so went up and down a steep mountain road to get to the Tamozawa Imperial Villa, which used to be the Emperors' summer residence. The current emperor spent about a year here during the war (there's even an air raid shelter in the garden). There are about 110 rooms.
I wasn't allowed to take my tripod in. <"ยค">

perhaps a square crop would have brought the emphasis to the window more. My eyes get distracted by all the negative space to the right of the photo

cool, better than an a average day...i've shot these but this one is exceptional. 9 on 10 scale.

Looks peaceful, no? The surround of your window, to my eye, is neither properly present nor properly dark - so I keep trying to find details in it rather than concentrating on your 'view'. A sense of exclusion from that peace might be present, but it isn't coming across strongly.
