 Shot in the bushbush at a roadside stop on the A7 Autobahn to Hamburg where we went with family. My girl and aunt, well trained mushroom experts and cooks, found some when they wandered into the surroundings. This one is not for cooking, so I shot it to pieces.

Editing: Crop, selective color, resized and sharpened.

Is this not an Amanita muscaria? You probably could have eaten it...if you felt like spending the next few hours on a different plane of existence. :)

Saturation is almost unrealistic - so rich. I like the effect however, as it looks like an illustration from a fairy tale - which again goes very well with the title. The sky color is making the most fake impression. Adjusting scores. Good luck!

I love the angle. I'm not sure how this fits in the challenge, though. Also, the highlights came out a bit harsh. If they were toned down a bit, I would have really loved this. 5

DMC. Hard to balance the sunlight on stem vs underexposing the vanes under the dome. Good attempt though.......
