| Wonderful image on all levels, technically, emotionally, and artistically. Two subtle elements of surrealism add to the magic of the moment: the PS tweaks to the lighting, and the wide-angle distortion which makes even the trees bend toward the compelling glow of the fire. | This is a really nice shot. It captures the atmosphere of camping perfectly. Thanks for the notes, I was wondering about the exposure time and if they were asked to stay still. They did a great job. |

What a lovely scene!! I happen to know that park because I used to go there back in the mid 80s when I lived in Boynton Bch. I love how you captured the true essence of this spectacular night. It's absolutely perfect and a definite fav for me!!

| man i dont know how many times ive attempted a shot like this, you have really nailed it here. Everything is perfect - how did the fire not become over-exposed in 30 seconds? And I can't believe everyone stood still for 30 seconds! Congrats on your ribbon, fav'd |

This just looks like somewhere around the western Everglades, maybe the Turner River or Bear Island area. It's a beautiful shot, and it made me look more than twice when I was looking through the challenge entries. I notice that it did not get any 1, 2, or 3 votes. What a wonderful shot.

| I like the composition but I do think the trees are a bit dark to support the, dont know the word - wide angleness. Its working better for me cropping an little above the tent. |
