Placed black cloth on floor. Two chairs were placed, two feet apart on cloth. A piece of glass was placed on chairs, creating a glass bridge. Skull and paper body cut-out, were placed on glass. Small L.E.D light from the left, helped to illuminate the skull, (very weak light). Cloth was used, to shade body from stray light.
#1 Laser pointer was turned on and aimed at eyes.
#2 Shutter was tripped with remote.
$3 Laser was used to light each eye for 12 seconds, (in a circular motion).
#4 Going under the glass, the lighters were lit. The stencil was traced, creating the image you see. Overall time was 83 seconds.
Casualties: Two burnt thumbs, One melted lighter.
Image was cropped, dust removed, one loose flame removed, reduced slight highlight, slightly lowered exposure, raised black in curves, resized for web in iphoto. |
