 This is my dog Java. Our two pups always run to the window which looks out on our driveway when we leave. The looks on their face are the most guilt-inspiring expressions imaginable. When I saw the waiting challenge I knew this had to be my submission. It's not going to win, but it was a challenge for me to capture it.

Used a Nikkor 75-300mm zoom from a tripod to get the right feel. Minor editing in GIMP included cropping, usm (0.5,150%,0), and levels tweaking. The rest of the details are below.

I would have liked to see the full frame of the window, to look like a painting.

I would have moved the plants down, and framed just the dog in the window. The grass doesn't add much to the image here (dog looking out window).

the colors are nice, but could be much stronger. I don't really like the way you cropped it. I would have either put the whole window on it, or crop just an inch above the dogs head.
