So, after I left the earlier site, I was heading off and the trail got a little faint. I figured, "meh, I'll just do some orienteering and meet back up where I want to." Little did I know, but this dumb bog was ahead of me. I was way off towards sheep mountain, and a few hundred feet below this thing. As I was coming up the hill towards it in the forest, everything was way too close to see up ahead at all, and I stumbled upon another mother and baby pair of moose, who went crashing off through the trees, luckily, instead of crushing through my skull.
Then I emerged onto this thing, which consists of knee high grass, swarms of mosquitoes, odoriferous mud, head height willows, and 20 ft spruce. Oh, and it was infested with more mother and baby moose pairs. JOY!
So I walked around making lots of noise and saying dumb things like "moosey moosey mooosey moosey moooooooooooooooosey!" to try and scare them off. It didn't work.
But I lived.
