I am so NOT a lighting person. I'm trying to be... but it's all trial and error. It took me a bit to get this, but I think I did! I'm so excited and anxious to see what all of you voters think about this.

Excellent, Lydia! Congratulations. I am trying to "get" the whole studio lighting thing too. What was your lighting set up for this ?? Its really beautiful! What a flawless model! And such a good sport to pose for you for a nude challenge :)

I didn't get around to voting this challenge (nudes, lighting, people - not something I can do, so not something I judge well) but... well... ummm.... he's related to you, yes? So I can't say anything untoward? I will say you totally nailed the lighting as far as I can judge such things and his eyes REALLY grab you and pull you into the shot. Then the way the body is lit, it becomes a nice "ah ha... yes" kinda thing to go with the eyes. Hopefully not too terribly untoward... :-) VERY nice work.

(P.S. I so wanna say "yum", but that would indeed be inappropriate.)

I came back to this photo a number of times to make sure I gave it the best vote I could given my interpretation of the shot... his eyes are very captivating, his body young and fresh ... I like his pose and your lighting and your pping in general ... kudos to the model!

My pick from this challenge. One of a very few (from an already small set of submissions) that really communicates the model's character. Pose is interesting, composition is good, and the lighting is effective. Very well done.

Good lighting. The point of focus is squarely with his eyes, which makes it feel more like a portrait shot than a study on body form. Not that it matters in the context of this challenge. Just an observation.
