There is no rymne nor reason to the voting in this site at times. Dang it man we can't all be up there at the top but this one should have been. I wish people who simply don't like the subject matter would just not vote on an image when it is well shot rather than as I suspect give it a sub 4 score. |

If this doesn't get in at least the top ten, I will lose all respect for DPC voters. |
I agree, it should have made at least top 10! |

Not bad. Since this is a staged shot I need a little more. The angle really helps but it could use more details (ex shells on the ground, something else in the frame to enhance the mystery, etc.) Good shot. Meets the challenge. Good luck. |

I'm really not a big fan of scenes like this. There's already so much despair in the world and to see reminders of it here is a bummer. However, photographically I think this set up is quite fitting. It's one where someone wants to record this moment and so obviously, nothing is going to be in focus. 8 |

Love it. Fits the challenge perfectly with the cameras pov and blurry vision. |

Good interpretation of the challenge, but too tilted for me. |

a bit contrived, but I like how you incorporated the challenge idea and made it interesting. I like the diagonal sense of it. |

Having skimmed through the forums and looking over the thumbs and some images, I think this definitely meets the challenge. The guy with the gun is clearly the subject and the image tells a compelling story (even w/o the title). Good effort. I think going B&W enhances the "story". |

Much better this way, like the 90 degree rotation. |
